Change and Improvement in Path of Exile: Harvest

Grinding Gear Games revealed Path of Exile's summer expansion: Harvest. The new update will contain crafting options, new skills, support gems, equipment and weapons, Brand, as well as unique items. Here, we'll introduce some rework in Brands, Slam Skills, and Warcries.

Brand Skills

To make Path of Exile: Harvest more versatile, the Brand skills have been reworked a lot, along with three new Brands to add, which is much different from the past ones. At present, Brand Recall no longer reigns supreme but is a useful tool alongside many new options. These three new Brands are Arcanist, Penance, and Wintertide.

• Arcanist Brand

Arcanist brand casts linked spells while activating, and the Penance brand would spread to nearby enemies damage gradually, upon being removed from the target, it detonates dealing massive damage. While the Wintertide brand could increase cold damage over time to the attached target, dealing more damage the longer it is attached.

• Penance Brand

Penance Brand is another new skill. It attaches to nearby enemies and then quickly spreads to additional enemies whenever it activates. If you use Brand Recall or if the enemy dies, the built-up energy in each enemy is released in a massive explosion.

• Wintertide Brand

Wintertide brand deals cold damage over time to the attached target, dealing more damage the longer it is attached. Each activation, the Brand's damage effect becomes more intense on that enemy.

Slam Skills

Slam Skills are granted larger AoE, higher damage numbers, and more reliable mechanics, along with larger AoE for the number of endurance charges. It also added a new slam skill called Earthshatter, which could send out five damaging fissures in all directions when slamming the ground.

• The Fist of War support gem

The Fist of War gem now supports any slam skill, and a spirit will periodically appear alongside your character to perform a slam skill in unison with you, adding more AoE damage to your Slams, and rewarding harder-hitting slower Slams with higher copied damage from the spirit. It spawns a spirit to do a slam in tandem with your character for that extra damage.

• Tectonic Slam

The classic Path of Exile skill, Tectonic Slam, has been reworked and also received impressive new visual effects. Now the skill only removes Endurance charges every three uses, making the charges easier to maintain. The AoE now increases for every endurance charge, resulting in an even wider spread of damage. These changes will definitely make it a much more effective melee skill and will encourage investment into Area of Effect and Endurance Charge generation.

Warcry Skills

When it comes to Warcries, it surrounds with a variety of skills, including Enduring cry, Intimidating cry, Ancestral cry, Seismic cry, Infernal cry, and more, each of which would grant the character more damage ability and XP gained.

• Enduring Cry

Enduring Cry received a relatively minimal rework but GGG wanted to see if they could improve various aspects of this skill while they were reworking the others.

It still generates endurance charges based on the power of nearby enemies, but also provides a short burst of very powerful healing. It also temporarily gives you additional resistance and physical damage reduction for a short duration.

Unlike other Warcries, Enduring Cry does not exert your next few attacks; its benefits are purely defensive.

• Intimidating Cry

Intimidating Cry was previously only obtainable through a unique item. In addition to it now being available as a skill gem, it has undergone a full rework to be a lot more punchy and exciting.

Its benefits are purely offensive. It achieves this by intimidating nearby enemies and exerting your next few attacks to deal double damage. It also provides a buff that lets you ignore some of your enemies' physical damage reduction based on nearby enemy power.

It's intended to be the offensive counterpart to Enduring Cry. It should work in a wide variety of builds to make your next few attacks feel really powerful.

• Ancestral Cry

Ancestral Cry is a new Warcry which was designed to work well specifically with strike skills. It causes your next few strikes to also target nearby enemies, similar to the Ancestral Call support.

It also provides a buff based on the power of nearby enemies which both increases your melee range as well as providing bonus armor.

It's intended to be a well-rounded Warcry that generally provides benefits to anybody interested in playing strike skills.

• Seismic Cry

Seismic Cry knocks enemies back and interrupts them when it taunts them. It then grants you a buff based on nearby enemy power which reduces enemy stun threshold, making it easier to stun enemies with your hits.

• Infernal Cry

Infernal Cry was previously known as Abyssal Cry and has received a full rework. GGG aims to keep its old features while providing some new exciting ones to refresh its appeal.

It covers enemies in ash, a debuff that scales with the power of nearby enemies. It also causes enemies that are affected by this debuff to explode with fire damage when they are slain.

It also exerts your next few attacks to trigger Combust when hitting an enemy. Combust is a triggered Area of Effect attack skill granted by the Infernal Cry gem. It scales with attack damage modifiers and can benefit from your supports.

• Rallying Cry

Rallying Cry increased mana regeneration for you and your allies, while also buffing damage versus enemies. Due to a rework in Path of Exile: Harvest, the skill will, instead, grant a percentage of your weapon damage to you and your allies based on the "monster power" of hostiles close to you. It also "exerts" your attacks, providing bonus damage based on the number of nearby allies.

Rallying Cry's new effects can be used in conjunction with the Herald of Purity skill (which summons sentinels when you defeat an enemy). Even if you're only playing solo, your own summoned minions can wield empowered attacks (while also buffing your own).

• General's Cry

General's Cry is an intense new Warcry that has been designed to be very open-ended in how it can be used. It's a Skill/Support hybrid that melee attack skills can be linked to. This Warcry summons ghostly mirage warriors from corpses near you. These ghosts use one of the linked skills once before dissipating.

The number of warriors you summon is based on the total power of nearby enemies as well as the power of nearby corpses.

General's Cry lets you summon your own legion of warriors to destroy your enemies using a large selection of skills.

Other Changes

What's more, Harvest also made changes in the Passive Skill tree, allowing for a ton of build diversity and many entirely new builds, along with new notable clusters, which could grant the skill tree more buff.
