Path of Exile: Harvest - Seeds Types and Caches

In Harvest, players get to take on the role of a 'farmer' which, instead of planting crops, does so with monster seeds, grow into dangerous enemies, and craft their Lifeforce onto your items. Here, there is a seed guide so that you know what to look for from your seeds.

Types of Seeds

There are three types of seeds in Harvest: purple Wild seeds, yellow Vivid seeds, and blue Primal seeds. They come with different traits depending on their variety and tier: 2nd tier consists of grains, 3rd tier has bulbs, and 4th tier is a fruit, but they'll all be called seeds here for clarity. Excess seeds can be stored in the Sacred Grove's own stash.

Seeds grow every time a player activates a Seed Cache, so the best way to get crops to go fast is to visit many different zones, collect the seed caches, then wait about 15 minutes for the areas to reset. If there are plants ready to be harvested, Oshabi will mention it. It is also a very good idea to condense lifeforce frequently, as it will disperse eventually otherwise.

Infrastructure

There are four main types of infrastructure: Collectors (harvests your plants and lets you craft), Dispersers (uses Condensed Lifeforce to grow advanced plants), Storage Tanks (holds more Condensed Lifeforce for later use) and Pylons (used to connect pieces of your infrastructure).

• Lifeforce Collectors

It is used to harvest the seeds that you've planted. Actually first-tier seeds will grow anywhere but you won't be able to harvest them without lifeforce collector as it is the juice that you need not the monsters themselves.

There are three types of lifeforce collectors that represent each seed type. Thus you'll wild lifeforce collector for wild type seeds, vivid lifeforce collector for vivid seeds, and primal lifeforce collector for primal seeds. You can recognize them by the matching color.

How To Get It:

1. Usually, when you get some seeds and plant them, NPC will give you the first collector.

2. After that, you have to use 25 life-forces to buy it

• Dispersers

Not all seeds are easy to grow. Starting from the second tier they need some extra conditions to grow. One of them is some particular amount of other life-forces.

Tier 2 Wild seeds need Vivid lifeforce

Tier 2 Vivid and Primal seeds need Wild lifeforce

Tier 3 Wild seeds need Vivid and Primal lifeforce

Tier 3 Vivid seeds need Wild and Primal lifeforce

Tier 3 Primal seeds need Vivid and Wild lifeforce

To make that happen you'll need a disperser to spray the necessary lifeforce on the seeds within its radius of power. Again the first one you'll get via the quests with Oshabi, after that you'll need to craft them as lifeforce collectors. You'll need 30 life-forces for that.

Note that one disperser can provide only one type of lifeforce! On the other hand, you can replace them (Ctrl+Click on it) so don't worry if you put it in the wrong place. Also, a disperser won't work without a pylon.

How To Get It:

1. When you harvest some Tier 2 seeds from Tier 1 seeds, NPC will give you a free one

2. After that, you have to use 30 life-forces to buy it.

• Storage Tanks

Storage Tank stores Condensed Lifeforce. A Storage Tank must be connected to a Collector and will store the Condensed Lifeforce of that Collector's particular type. Dispersers can be connected to Storage Tanks to use the stored Condensed Lifeforce.

Higher tiers of seeds require Condensed Lifeforce in order to grow. You'll need to install a Disperser in order to spread the Condensed Lifeforce that you've stored. A Disperser must be connected to a Collector or Storage Tank to work.

Tier 2 seeds (and higher) have various requirements that need to be met in order for them to grow. Some need a certain amount of Condensed Lifeforce of a particular type (i.e. Lifeforce which has come from a particular type of seed). Some also need to be grown within close proximity to seeds of a particular type. This information is displayed on seeds before they're planted and still visible after they're planted.

A seed whose growth conditions are not met will not grow and will flash red. As you climb the tiers of seeds, you may need access to a more Condensed Lifeforce than your Collectors can store. That's where Storage Tanks come in!

How To Get It:

1. Just connect the collector to disperser and select Condensed Lifeforce, a new task will be triggered, and NPC will give you a free storage tank.

2. After that, you have to use 75 life-forces to buy it.

• Pylons

Pylon is another wast structure it will link your dispersers to the source of lifeforce. After you run out of pylons provided by Oshabi you can craft pylons for 10 life-forces.

After you place a pylon you can click on the but above it to create links. Use as many pylons as you need and like to connect a lifeforce collector with a storage tank and a disperser. All the pylons can hold only one type of lifeforce. Also, you can break and connections and make new ones as well as relocate a pylon by Ctrl+click it.

• Horticrafting Stations

This is a late-game structure that will allow you to hold and store some crafting recipes that you get from seeds. Horticrafting Station is the most expensive thing and you cannot get it anywhere except for crafting it yourself for 1800 lifeforce. It will take you some time to gather seeds that give at least 67 life-forces to manage to craft Horticrafting Station.
