Trading is an important part of the Path of Exile. Do you know any matters that need attention during the trading? This guide covers all the tips in the trading process to help you complete the trading more easily.
Keep in mind the following tips to ensure get the better end of the trading:
1. Both players must be online to initiate and complete a trade.
2. A trade is processed when both players confirm it.
3. If either player changes the trade the confirmation is canceled.
4. A countdown will occur allowing either player to cancel the trade.
5. Both players will get confirmation prompts of the items received.
6. Don't spend currency as soon as you get it. There may be some leveling items that you may want to grab at the start of the league, just keep in mind that these common items fetch a premium in the first week or so of a trade league.
7. Don't constantly buy gear at low levels. The best thing new players can spend their currency on is leveling Uniques for their build, don't buy rares until the endgame. Focus on leveling first.
8. If an account does not have a character that is at least level 25, it cannot trade currency or unique items to other players in the trade window. To circumvent this, you could drop currency or uniques in a zone in order to give them to other players.
9. Price Check. The knowledge of how to price items, especially Rares, comes with time and meta-game knowledge. Most Rares aren't worth selling, even in the endgame. So if you really want to focus on farming Currency, focus on learning what drops are valuable in a given league.
10. ALWAYS CHECK THE ITEM BEFORE ACCEPTING TRADE. Scammers exist in this game and will take advantage of your haste. Also, there are tons of scams out there around Unique items, items being listed at low prices as a method for sending spam, and many other issues with trading in POE.
11. Ctrl+LMB will move an item or stack right to the trade window when it's open, saves time over dragging and dropping.
12. Take note of the post duration. You may want to take advantage of a seller depending on the duration of the post. The longer it's posted and no buyer was found, the greater advantage you have as a buyer.
13. Don't show your desperation for the item you want. Keep a calm demeanor and bargain with a straight face. There's a chance the price will go low if you negotiate with utter calm.
14. Just make an offer. Sometimes buyers do hesitate to message their price because they don't want the seller to go away. Nothing will happen if you don't try throwing out a price right? So, offer what you think is the right price and go from there with the seller.
15. If you're seeking buyers for your items and have no idea what price to put on it, give it a high price, first. Lower the price gradually until there is a willing buyer.
16. Accepting bids from people deserve a counter-offer. Unless your price gets fixed, give the potential buyer response. Either a straightforward "no" or a lowered price where both you and the party agree.
17. If a buyer messaged you multiple times, he is desperate for what you're selling. Take advantage of this since you know he or she wants the item badly. On the other hand, don't take desperation for granted. Set the price that gives you some leverage and bring it there fast before it's too late.

• Premium stash tab upgrade (15p) - This upgrades one of your regular stash tabs to a premium one.
• Currency stash tab (75p) - This adds a new tab with a special layout for storing different currencies. It's super helpful to have.
19. If you're a buyer, these points should help you out:
Instead of wasting seller's time by having them figure out what you want because of lack of communication, just send them a message with the following info: Item name, Base item type, Buyout price (if listed), League (if applicable) & Price suggestion.
20. If you're a seller, take note of these PoE trading know-hows:
Price your items to ensure that they get sold faster. Don't ask buyers to make offers, it's not wrong to ask for an offer on an item that's for sale. In fact, there's an advantage, as this allows you to sell the item to the highest bidder. However, making buyers compete against each other isn't wise. Plus, from a business perspective, it can be bad despite the possible profit that you can gain out for it.
