One of the first choices you make in Path of Exile is which class you'd like to play. There are six classes available from the start of the game, each Path of Exile character class has its corresponding attribute ability (ranging from strength to dexterity and intelligence). If you are a beginner, here are the three best character classes in the Path of Exile for your reference.
1. Scion
• Main Attribute: Strength/Dexterity/Intelligence
• Starting attributes: (Strength 20) (Dexterity 20) (Intelligence 20)
• Ascendancy class: Ascendant
• Suggested builds: Any role
Scion focused on three types of attributes, Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence, which made it become a hybrid class of PoE. Scion does not have a specified role in the game. She can be basically everything. You can make her be a powerful magician, a very good melee fighter with high damage output, or even a ranger. You have to rescue Scion in the third Act, straight after killing Dominus. Her skill points are located in the middle of the skill tree, and thanks to that you can create your own build for her. Scion has only one Ascendancy class – Ascendant. But it combines all the Ascendancy classes, though not fully, but only part of their effects. This allows you to create a unique character by selecting 2 any Ascendancy class passives from each base class. However, it is a diverse character to provide enough versatility for veterans as they could play around with stats and create a powerful build.
2. Duelist
• Role in the game: DPS with dodging capabilities
• Main Attribute: Strength/Dexterity
• Starting attributes: (Strength 23) (Dexterity 23) (Intelligence 14)
• Ascendancy classes: Slayer, Gladiator, Champion
• Suggested builds: Melee, Dual-wielding, Shields, Physical damage
• Used equipment: Light armors parts with shield and sabers/two-handed swords
• Gear Price: 2/5
• Class difficulty: 1/5
The Duelist is a hybrid class that offers combining dexterity and strength attributes, the Strength gives him strong attacks and protection, while the Dexterity gives him agility, make himself a very good skirmisher with the ability to avoid incoming damage. His playstyle makes him able to use a shield with a one-handed sword, two-handed swords, or simply dual wielding. In the fight, the duelist is quick and smooth. Duelist class is characterized by high attack speed, movement speed, and dodge ability. Duelist is the best class that can maintain the balance between speed and strength, he focuses more on physical attacks, so he could effectively block destructive attacks from all sides of the battlefield. If you want to become truly invincible, while helping members of your group, then Champion will take on the role of a tank and support that can taunt and debuff enemies.
3. Marauder
• Role in the game: Tank/DPS, Buffer
• Main Attribute: Strength
• Starting attributes: (Strength 32) (Dexterity 14) (Intelligence 14)
• Ascendancy classes: Juggernaut, Berserker, Chieftain
• Suggested builds: Melee, Physical and Fire damage, Totems, Armor
• Used equipment: Heavy armors parts and two-handed hammers/swords, dual-wielding
• Gear Price: 1/5
• Class difficulty: 1/5
Marauder focuses on Strength, granting him power and durability, and he is tough to kill and deals heavy damage with mace-like weapons. His abilities are mainly focused on using skills with Area of Effect damage and taunting enemies. He has access to powerful two-handed melee skills and defensive skills near his staring location on the Passive Skill Tree. Marauder is ideal for those who want to play as a physical or fire melee-oriented character. Juggernaut will provide additional survival with the help of bonus armor and an immune to camps and endurance charges will reduce the damage received and increase the restoration of health. If you agree with the phrase “The best defense is a good offense” then Berserker is perfect for you. Bonus damage, attack speed, damage from critical strikes, and life leech in exchange for increased damage to the character will allow you to kill opponents long before they can strike back. If you like fire, then Chieftain Ascendancy will reveal the full potential of Marauder not only as a melee character with fire damage abilities but also as a skilled caster due to fire totems. Marauder is very easy to play, and his builds are rather cheap. The class is not that bad for newbie players that have just started their journey with the Path of Exile. The above three character classes are the best in the path of exile. Of course, there are still some other ones, such as Witch, Templar, and more, which are worth choosing.
